Two parades are conducted as part of the event each year. Please note the change of parade days/times due for the 150th Bendigo Easter Fair:
- Fosterville Gold Torchlight Procession on Easter Sunday (12 April 2020), 7pm
- Gala Parade on Easter Monday (13 April 2020), 12.30pm
The parades are the real highlights of the festival and a great way to be seen by tens of thousands of people who line the parade route each year. The route follows View Street, Pall Mall, McCrae Street and Bridge Street.
The special theme for the 150th Anniversary of the Bendigo Easter Parade is – ‘Bendigo Easter Fair - Celebrating the Greatest Show on Earth!"
This theme is open for individual interpretation by all community groups, this can be inspired by a favourite movie, song or individual story of cultural significance, celebrating the diversity of people who helped shape our vibrant community.
The Fosterville Gold Torchlight Procession and Gala Parade is an opportunity for the Bendigo community to express their artistic talent and culture. Community groups and schools are invited to participate. If you have a mascot, club banners or flags and uniforms, please bring them out to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Bendigo Easter Parade.
Expression of interest to enter both parades will open on February 3, 2020.
Submissions close on March 6,2020.
Please read the terms and conditions of entry prior to submitting the expression of interest form.
